Create your account

Last updated 27 July 2026

To create a Ganttastic account, open ganttastic.com, click Sign in, and switch to the Sign Up tab, then register with your email and a password or with one click through Google. This page also covers signing in (including SSO), email verification, two-factor authentication, recovery codes, profile management, and account deletion.

A free account takes about a minute to set up and starts on the Team Member tier, which you can upgrade later (see plans and pricing). If you have been working in guest mode, sign up from the same browser so your guest projects come with you.

Ways to create an account

There are two ways to create an account, plus a sign in path for enterprise members:

  • Email and password. Works anywhere. You confirm your address afterwards through a verification link.
  • Google. One click with Sign in with Google. There is no Ganttastic password to manage, and your email counts as verified from the start.
  • SSO. Members of an organization on an enterprise plan with single sign-on configured use the Sign in with SSO button and their company identity provider instead. See enterprise.

Not ready to commit? You can use the product without any account first; see try Ganttastic without an account.

Sign up step by step

  1. Open ganttastic.com and click Sign in in the top navigation. The Welcome to Ganttastic dialog opens. If you are already in the app as a guest, click Sign up in the banner at the top instead.
  2. Switch to the Sign Up tab. To register with Google, click Sign in with Google and pick your Google account; you are done.
  3. To register with email, fill in First Name, Last Name, Email, Password, and Confirm password. Company is optional.
  4. Choose a password with at least 8 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a symbol. A live checklist under the field shows which rules your password meets.
  5. Complete the reCAPTCHA check. Sign up stays disabled until it passes.
  6. Click Create Account. Creating an account confirms you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Verify your email

After an email sign up, Ganttastic sends a verification link to your inbox and shows a banner at the top of the app asking you to verify. You can use the app right away; the banner is a reminder, not a lock on the whole product. AI plan generation is the exception: it stays unavailable until your email is verified (see AI project wizard).

The banner checks for verification automatically every few seconds and clears itself once you click the link, so there is no need to refresh. If the email never arrived, click Resend; there is a 60 second cooldown between resends. Google sign ups skip this step entirely because Google has already verified the address.

Sign in to Ganttastic

Click Sign in on ganttastic.com to open the dialog on the Sign In tab. You can sign in three ways:

  • With your email and password.
  • With Sign in with Google.
  • With Sign in with SSO if your organization uses single sign-on: enter your work email, click Continue with SSO, and finish on your company's identity provider. See enterprise.

Forgot your password? Click Forgot Password? under the form, enter your email, and click Send Reset Link. Follow the emailed link to set a new password, then return with Back to Sign In.

If two-factor authentication is enabled on your account, you are asked for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to finish signing in. Lost the authenticator? See the recovery section below.

Set up two-factor authentication

Ganttastic supports two-factor authentication (2FA) with standard authenticator app codes (TOTP). Once enabled, signing in takes your password plus a code from your phone.

  1. Click your avatar in the sidebar and choose Manage Profile.
  2. In the Manage Your Account dialog, open the Security tab.
  3. Under Two-factor authentication (the status badge reads Off), click Enable 2FA.
  4. Confirm it is really you. Password accounts enter their current password; Google and SSO accounts confirm through a quick provider popup. Click Continue.
  5. On the Scan with your authenticator app step, scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, or a similar app. You can also copy the setup key and enter it manually. Click Next: enter code.
  6. Type the 6-digit code shown in the app (it refreshes every 30 seconds) and click Verify & enable.
  7. On Save your recovery codes, store the ten codes somewhere safe, then click I've saved them.

Recovery codes

Enrollment ends with exactly ten recovery codes, each in the form XXXX-XXXX-XX. They are shown once, at that moment, and cannot be retrieved later; Ganttastic stores only a hashed form. Each code works a single time, and together they are your way back in if you lose your authenticator.

The Security tab shows how many codes you have left (for example, 8 of 10 remaining) and when they were last generated. Click Regenerate recovery codes at any time to get a fresh set of ten; your previous codes become invalid immediately.

Recover a lost authenticator

If your phone is gone or the authenticator app was deleted, you can remove 2FA from your account yourself with one recovery code. No support ticket is needed.

  1. Start signing in as usual with your email and password.
  2. When the code prompt appears, click Lost your authenticator? Use a recovery code.
  3. In the Use a recovery code dialog, enter your email, your password, and one unused recovery code, then click Recover account.
  4. Ganttastic removes the authenticator factors from your account. The code you entered is spent, and any remaining unused codes are cleared as well.
  5. Click Continue to sign in and sign in with just your email and password.

Re-enable 2FA right away from the Security tab. A fresh enrollment generates a new set of ten recovery codes.

Manage your profile

Click your avatar in the sidebar to open the account menu. Alongside Manage Profile and Sign Out, it contains App Settings (see settings) and either Upgrade Account or Manage billing, depending on your plan (see billing and subscriptions).

Manage Profile opens the Manage Your Account dialog, which has two tabs:

  • Profile: edit First Name and Last Name, click your avatar to pick its color, and view your email address (read only, with a green badge once verified). Click Save Profile to apply changes.
  • Security: change your password (enter your current password and the new one twice, then click Update Password; the same strength rules apply as at sign up), manage two-factor authentication and recovery codes, and delete your account. Google accounts see no password section here because their password is managed by Google.

Delete your account

You can delete your account yourself, without contacting support:

  1. Click your avatar, choose Manage Profile, and open the Security tab.
  2. Scroll to Danger Zone and click Delete My Account.
  3. A confirmation dialog asks "Are you absolutely sure?". Password accounts type their password to continue; Google and SSO accounts confirm through their provider's sign in prompt instead.
  4. Click Delete Account.

Sign out

Click your avatar in the sidebar and choose Sign Out. There is no in-app account switcher; to move between accounts, sign out and sign back in with the other one.

Easier to try than to read about.

Open Ganttastic in your browser and follow along. No account needed.
